This brass coin depicts Shadowfax, king of the horses, in full gallop. Above him is the word “Edoras,”™ which is the capital city of Rohan and the date "3019". This is the year of the War of the Ring.
On the reverse are the words “Théoden, King of the Eorlingas.” Eorlingas is a name that the people of Rohan use for themselves, referring to their first king, Éorl.
